Honey Dijon Announces Star-Studded Album
Honey Dijon announced a new album titled *Nightlife* featuring collaborations with Rochelle Jordan, Madison McFerrin, Greentea Peng, Chlöe, Mahalia, and Bree Runway. The project is set to blend dance and R&B influences, highlighting the genre's ongoing cross-pollination and Honey Dijon's role as a boundary-breaking curator. The album represents a major crossover moment between electronic and R&B scenes.
This new project follows her 2022 album, *Black Girl Magic*, a 15-track masterclass in disco and soulful house that celebrated Black and queer contributions to dance music. That album was praised for its joyful pride and collaborative spirit, featuring artists like Channel Tres and Eve. Dijon is a Grammy-award-winning producer, having earned a trophy for Best Dance/Electronic Album for her production work on Beyoncé's 2022 album, *Renaissance*. She has also created official remixes for major artists such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, and David Bowie. Born and raised in Chicago, the birthplace of house music, Dijon was mentored by legendary figures like Derrick Carter and Mark Farina. Her signature sound was later influenced by New York's scene and iconic DJs like Danny Tenaglia after she relocated. Beyond music, Honey Dijon is a prominent figure in the fashion world, having curated runway soundtracks for Dior and Louis Vuitton for several years. She also has her own fashion brand, Honey Fucking Dijon, which is stocked in stores worldwide. *Nightlife* marks her third full-length studio album, following her 2017 debut *The Best of Both Worlds* and 2022's *Black Girl Magic*. The new record was preceded by a teaser EP titled *The Nightlife - After Dark*, which also featured collaborator Chlöe. The album's focus on club culture coincides with Dijon's recent takeover of London's Tate Modern museum. The event celebrated underground club culture and LGBTQIA+ history with a curated program of DJs and art.
