J. Cole's "The Fall-Off," marketed as his final album, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, achieving 280,000 equivalent units in its first week. 166,500 units came from streaming, equaling 169.5 million on-demand official streams. Pure album sales accounted for 113,000 units, with vinyl sales comprising roughly 71 percent (80,000 units). Cole's "The Fall-Off" boasts the largest sales week for a hip-hop album since March 2025. It is also Cole's seventh consecutive number one album, a streak that started with his 2011 debut, "Cole World: The Sideline Story". To connect with fans, Cole launched a "Trunk Sale Tour 26," selling physical copies of "The Fall-Off" directly from his car. Jay-Z re-released his Jaz-O collaboration, "N*a What, N*a Who (Originator 99)," on streaming platforms to celebrate his 30th anniversary in hip-hop. He also dropped a special vinyl edition of the "Vol.2... Hard Knock Life" single on his 30th anniversary website. As of January 2026, Jay-Z has sold over 45 million albums worldwide. Future's albums have sold over 14.4 million album-equivalent units worldwide, with 14 million certified in the United States. He has achieved 11 number-one albums on the US Billboard 200, tying with Eminem, Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen, and Barbra Streisand. His best-selling album is "DS2," which sold over 3,060,000 copies.
