Anthropic Drops 13 Free AI Courses
Anthropic has released 13 free AI courses that come with certificates upon completion. The curriculum covers practical, in-demand skills like using the Claude API, building with RAG, and integrating with AWS and GCP, offering a major resource for students building ML portfolio projects.
The new "Anthropic Academy" curriculum is hosted on the Skilljar learning platform and organizes its 13 courses into three distinct tracks: AI Fluency, Product Training, and Developer Deep-Dives. This structured approach allows learners to select a path that aligns with their existing skill level and career goals, from foundational concepts to advanced, production-level deployments. For developers, the curriculum offers deep dives into practical applications, such as "Building with the Claude API" and advanced topics on the Model Context Protocol for creating production-ready servers. Courses also cover integrations with major cloud platforms, including "Claude with Amazon Bedrock" and "Claude with Google Cloud's Vertex AI," providing skills directly applicable to enterprise environments. Beyond technical training, Anthropic is making a strategic push into academia, co-developing educator-specific tracks with professors from institutions like Ringling College and University College Cork. These materials are released under a Creative Commons license, encouraging widespread adoption and adaptation within university curricula. This educational initiative is backed by a Higher Education Advisory Board chaired by former Yale president Rick Levin, signaling a deliberate strategy to embed Claude within the next generation of developers. By offering free, certified training, Anthropic aims to accelerate the adoption of its models and cultivate a skilled community invested in the Claude ecosystem.
