Raiders-Ravens trade collapses
The Raiders-Ravens trade for DE Maxx Crosby fell apart after Baltimore backed out citing a failed physical [https://x.com/i/status/2031523438267900123], then the Ravens acquired Bengals Pro Bowler Trey Hendrickson [https://x.com/i/status/2031716472297345524].
The Raiders' terse statement about the Ravens "backing out" suggests they are not happy with how Baltimore handled the situation. Some executives around the league believe the Ravens "overstepped" by calling off the trade, even with the failed physical. The Ravens reportedly grew concerned about the condition of Crosby's knee after his physical. He had surgery in January to repair a torn meniscus. Despite Crosby's agent and surgeon saying he is recovering well, it wasn't enough to satisfy the Ravens. Baltimore quickly moved to sign Trey Hendrickson to a four-year, $112 million deal. The deal includes $60 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus. Hendrickson, a four-time Pro Bowler, had 17.5 sacks in 2024 while with the Bengals. Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension with the Raiders in March 2025. He is due a $30 million base salary in 2026. For now, the Raiders plan to have Crosby play for them in 2026.
