Drake Drops Two Major Collabs

Drake's engagement with the UK scene extends beyond music; he served as an executive producer on the revival of the British crime drama series *Top Boy*. His history of collaborating with British talent includes working with grime pioneer Skepta, Mercury Prize-winner Dave, and vocalist Sampha, establishing a cross-Atlantic connection years ago. This isn't the first time Drake and Central Cee have joined forces. The pair released a viral "On the Radar Freestyle" in 2023, which became Central Cee's first-ever entry on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Central Cee previously confirmed he and Drake had another track recorded, but he deliberately held it back from his debut album to subvert fan expectations. The collaboration with Travis Scott builds on a significant history, including their multi-platinum hit "SICKO MODE" and the 2021 track "Fair Trade." More recently, Drake was a featured artist on "MELTDOWN" from Scott's 2023 album *Utopia*, a track that made headlines for reigniting Drake's feud with Pusha T. The new track also serves to quiet rumors of a rift between the two artists. Speculation grew after Scott was seen encouraging Future and Metro Boomin to play their Drake-dissing track "Like That." However, Scott has since publicly posted his support for Drake's recent singles on social media. The potential mini-album format is a popular strategy for established artists. These shorter projects, typically three to seven songs, allow musicians to keep their audience engaged and maintain momentum in between the longer cycles of producing full-length studio albums.
