Fortnite's The Seven Returns This Weekend
The Seven, a central storyline group in Fortnite, is scheduled to return with a major in-game event starting Saturday, March 7th. Battle Royale mode is showing 160,000 concurrent players, peaking at over 1.5 million, with less than two weeks left in the current season pushing players to complete battle pass quests.
The Seven, a group of interdimensional warriors sworn to protect the fabric of reality, have been largely absent from the Fortnite storyline for over two years. Their last significant appearance was during the climactic battles against the Imagined Order, which concluded at the end of Chapter 3. The group consists of seven core members: The Foundation, The Visitor, The Scientist, The Paradigm, The Origin, The Imagined, and The Order. Their primary mission has always been to safeguard the Zero Point, the nexus of all realities, and to break the time loop that traps players on the island. Two members, The Order and a new version of The Visitor from an alternate reality, have already reappeared on the Chapter 7 Season 1 map, setting the stage for this larger reunion. Their return is part of a larger narrative that has been building throughout the current season, which is scheduled to conclude on March 19, 2026. The in-game event on March 7th, titled "Ordinance Deployed," marks a significant escalation in the storyline, where The Seven will begin to rally their forces against the villainous Dark Voyager. This is the first step in a series of events planned to unfold throughout the week, leading to a "final wave" of activity before the new season begins. Following the initial event, the narrative will continue with "It Returns" on March 8th, where a new Zero Point shard is expected to appear, and "It Begins" on March 9th, which will see further destabilization of the Zero Point's core. This series of events is expected to culminate in a mission to locate the missing leader of The Seven, The Foundation, who was last seen with Agent Jonesy at the end of Chapter 3 Season 2. The character of The Foundation was notably voiced by and bore the likeness of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
