LiquidChain Targets Cross-Chain Liquidity
A new protocol, LiquidChain, has launched a presale for its LIQUID token, aiming to solve staking and settlement friction between Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The project pitches itself as a "bridgeless" solution for capital flow, targeting a key pain point for traders chasing yield across different ecosystems.
LiquidChain operates as a Layer 3 settlement environment, designed to coordinate activity across blockchains rather than compete with them. It uses a high-performance virtual machine and trust-minimized cross-chain proofs to verify transactions, aiming to enable atomic swaps without wrapping assets. The total supply of the LIQUID token is fixed at 11.8 billion. The allocation is split with 35% for development, 32.5% for marketing and outreach via LiquidLabs, 15% to the AquaVault for business development, 10% for community rewards like staking, and 7.5% for exchange listings. The project's presale began in November 2025, with token prices around $0.012 to $0.013. To bootstrap liquidity, the protocol is offering high initial staking yields for presale participants, with advertised APYs having exceeded 1,900%. As of late February 2026, over $550,000 had been raised. Key details on the project's founders and leadership team have not been made public, indicating a degree of anonymity. However, the project's smart contracts have undergone audits from reputable firms CertiK and SpyWolf, which reportedly found no significant vulnerabilities. The roadmap is structured in four phases: presale and testnet development, the official token launch with unified liquidity pools, the mainnet launch including developer grants, and finally, a governance and scaling phase to integrate with other L1s and L2s. Due to its goal of unifying liquidity, the protocol's approach is being compared to existing cross-chain solutions like Thorchain and LayerZero. While some crypto influencers have expressed enthusiasm for the project's potential, it currently lacks major institutional backing.
