Bruno Mars Drops Romance Album

*The Romantic* marks Bruno Mars's first solo album in nearly a decade, following the massive success of 2016's *24K Magic*. That album swept the 2018 Grammy Awards, winning in all seven categories it was nominated for, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. In the intervening years, Mars focused on high-profile collaborations. Most notably, he formed the superduo Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak. Their 2021 album, *An Evening with Silk Sonic*, was a critical and commercial success. The lead single from that project, "Leave the Door Open," dominated the 2022 Grammy Awards, winning Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song. This "clean sweep" solidified the duo's throwback sound as a major force in music. Beyond Silk Sonic, Mars released a string of successful one-off collaborations. His 2024 duet with Lady Gaga, "Die With A Smile," topped the Billboard Global 200 chart for 18 weeks. He followed that with "APT.," a collaboration with K-pop star Rosé, which was named the biggest-selling global single of 2025 by the IFPI. The new album, *The Romantic*, is a nine-track project produced entirely by Mars and his longtime collaborator D'Mile. The lead single, "I Just Might," has already debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, signaling a strong solo return for the artist. To support the album, Mars has announced a 71-show global stadium tour, The Romantic Tour, scheduled to run from April to October 2026. He is also slated to release a compilation album titled *The Collaborations* on April 18, 2026, as part of his role as the 2026 Record Store Day ambassador.
