TCL to Showcase Displays for 2026 Olympics

TCL's display technology division, CSOT, is showcasing its next-generation screens for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games. The company is setting up exhibitions and fan zones in Milan to demonstrate its advanced display solutions ahead of the Olympics.

TCL's role as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner extends beyond branding, involving deep integration into the games' infrastructure. The company is providing crucial audiovisual support to the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) at the International Broadcasting Center, supplying televisions and digital signage to help media broadcast the events globally. In Milan's Piazza Duca d'Aosta, the company has constructed "TCL Edelweiss Land," a 500-square-meter public showcase running from February 5-22. This installation offers visitors hands-on experiences with the company's latest display innovations, smart home appliances, and Rayneo AR glasses. The technology being previewed includes TCL CSOT's new "Super Pixel" displays, which boast a 1.8x increase in sub-pixel density for sharper images and up to a 25% reduction in power consumption. The company is also advancing its Inkjet-Printed OLED (IJP OLED) technology, which simplifies production and lowers costs for next-generation screens. Beyond the fan experience, TCL is outfitting Olympic Villages in Milan, Anterselva, and Livigno with smart appliances like washing machines and dryers for athlete accommodations. This practical support is part of their broader "It's Your Greatness" campaign launched for the games. A key feature of the partnership is the "Athlete Moment," where TCL display technology enables competitors to connect with their families immediately after their events. This initiative uses 55-inch screens to provide clear, life-like video calls during what is often a highly emotional time for the athletes. This type of deep technological partnership has a long history at the Olympics, with brands like Samsung becoming the worldwide smartphone partner after starting as a local sponsor for the Seoul 1988 games. Similarly, Omega has served as the Official Timekeeper since the Los Angeles 1932 games, consistently developing the vital equipment athletes rely on.
