(mid-day.com) On the Harbour line, trains from Panvel toward Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus leaving between 10:33 a.m. and 3:49 p.m. will be cancelled, and trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus toward Panvel or Belapur leaving between 9:45 a.m. and 3:12 p.m. will not run. (mid-day.com) On the Trans-Harbour line, trains toward Thane leaving Panvel between 11:02 a.m. and 3:53 p.m. will be cancelled, and trains toward Panvel leaving Thane between 10:01 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. will also be suspended. (mid-day.com) Central Railway said special local trains will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vashi during the block. Trans-Harbour trains will keep running between Thane and Vashi or Nerul, and Port line services will run normally. (mid-day.com) A mega block is a planned shutdown that gives railway crews uninterrupted time on tracks, signals and overhead equipment. Central Railway said this one is for scheduled engineering and maintenance work tied to safety and infrastructure upkeep. (mid-day.com) The Sunday shutdown is part of a wider maintenance window across Mumbai’s suburban network on April 19. Lokmat Times reported a separate 10-hour Central line block between Mulund and Dombivli overnight into Sunday, plus a Western Railway jumbo block on fast lines between Santacruz and Goregaon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (lokmattimes.com) On the Harbour corridor, Lokmat Times said the main suspension window is 11:05 a.m. to 4:05 p.m. between Vashi and Panvel. On the Trans-Harbour corridor, it said only the Thane-Vashi section will stay operational during those hours, while Thane-Panvel services will be cancelled. (lokmattimes.com) Central Railway has advised passengers to check revised timings before leaving and use the special services where available. For Sunday riders on the Harbour side of the network, the workable routes narrow to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Vashi and Thane-Vashi or Nerul until the block ends. (mid-day.com)
