RLCS Boston Major Starts

The RLCS Boston Major 2026 kicks off February 19-22 at Agganis Arena in Boston with 16 elite teams from seven regions competing. The tournament features a $354,000 prize pool and critical RLCS Circuit Points that will shape the path toward future Majors and the World Championship. This marks the first international LAN of the new season.

- The reigning RLCS World Champions are NRG Esports, who defeated Team Falcons in the Grand Final of the 2025 World Championship in Lyon, France. This was the first World Championship Grand Final that did not feature a European team. - Last season's Majors were won by two different international squads; Karmine Corp won the Birmingham Major, while Team Falcons secured the Raleigh Major, marking the first-ever RLCS LAN title for the Middle East (MENA) region. - The French organization Karmine Corp was a dominant force in the 2025 season, claiming the Birmingham Major with a decisive 4-0 sweep over The Ultimates in the grand final. The victory netted them $102,000 of the $351,000 prize pool. - The RLCS season format consists of two splits, with each split containing online regional tournaments that grant qualification to an international Major. Teams earn RLCS circuit points at both regional events and the Majors to qualify for the World Championship. - Team BDS from France are the defending 2024 World Champions, having defeated G2 Stride in a close 4-2 Grand Final. - French superstar "Vatira" of Karmine Corp broke records in 2025 by winning his third Major title, the most of any player. - The previous season also saw the introduction of a 1v1 circuit alongside the main 3v3 tournament, with the inaugural 1v1 World Champion being Saudi Arabia's Hisham "Nwpo" Alqadi.
