Doppler Token Launch Platform Goes Native on Solana
Doppler, a popular platform for new token launches, has launched a native version on Solana. The company emphasized this is a bespoke integration for Solana's architecture, not just a simple code fork. The move signals growing developer and user migration to the Solana network, potentially heralding a new wave of altcoin launches and liquidity events.
Doppler's expansion to Solana is a ground-up rebuild tailored for the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), not a simple port from its existing Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible code. The company cited fundamental differences in programming models, account structures, and economic constraints as the key reasons for this native-first approach. Prior to this, Doppler established itself as the primary token creation infrastructure on Base, powering the majority of new token launches on that network through integrations with applications like Zora and Bankr. Founder Austin Adams stated that over 40,000 assets are created daily using its platform, with the protocol earning trading fees on these tokens regardless of where they trade. In January, Doppler announced a $9 million seed round from Q2 2025, led by Pantera Capital with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Variant, and Figment Capital. The move into the Solana ecosystem pits Doppler against established and varied launchpads. The landscape is currently dominated by the high-volume, permissionless meme coin creator Pump.fun, which accounts for a significant majority of new tokens on the network. Other key players include Magic Eden for curated NFT launches and Solanium for DeFi and GameFi projects. Solana's appeal for platforms like Doppler stems from its high throughput and low transaction costs, capable of handling up to 65,000 transactions per second for an average fee of about $0.00025. This performance has fueled a significant migration of developers, with Solana adding 11,534 new developers in the first three quarters of 2025, second only to Ethereum. This growing developer base has expanded the number of active dApps on Solana to over 2,100 as of early 2025.
