California’s Michelin stars will be handed out in San Diego on June 24, as one of the Bay Area’s longest-running Michelin names prepares to go dark. East Bay Times reported the property dates to about 1894 and was acquired in the early 1980s by Thomas J. McCombie and George Aviet, whose initials gave the restaurant its name.
