This partnership blends sportswear with art and celebrity influence—a look at the future of sneaker collabs.
The Nike + Jacquemus partnership began in June 2022 with a collection of womenswear, accessories, and a reimagined Nike Air Humara. Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus has said that sport has always been a part of the Jacquemus brand. He chose the Air Humara for the first sneaker collaboration because it is his favorite Nike shoe. The Moon Shoe, initially hand-built by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 Olympic Trials, gets a contemporary update. Jacquemus's version merges the shoe's racing history with a ballet-inspired aesthetic, featuring gathered nylon uppers and a Nike Grind sole. The shoe also has a leather Swoosh and heel counter, with Jacquemus logos on the tongue, heel, and sock liner. Solange Knowles, known for her work in music, visual art, and performance, was chosen as the face of the new campaign to emphasize the artistic collaboration between the brands. The choice of pale pink for one of the new colorways reflects the Jacquemus DNA, bringing softness and intimacy to the silhouette. Nicholas Alexander Chavez was the face of the first Moon Shoe campaign. The new Moon Shoe colorways launched on March 9, 2026, via Jacquemus, with a wider release of the brown and sail versions on Nike SNKRS and select retailers on March 16. The shoes come in exclusive co-branded packaging that references Nike's early days as Blue Ribbon Sports. Nike has a history of collaborating with designers such as Off-White, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.
