Ringo Starr Announces New Album
Beatles legend Ringo Starr announced his new solo album "Long Long Road" set for release in April. The project, recorded in Nashville, marks another chapter in Starr's storied career and is highly anticipated by classic rock and Beatles fans alike.
"Long Long Road" marks Starr's second collaboration with acclaimed producer T Bone Burnett, continuing the country and Americana sound they explored on the 2025 album "Look Up". The partnership began after a chance meeting at a poetry reading, leading Burnett to write a Gene Autry-style song for Starr. The 10-track album features a host of guest artists, including collaborations with Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, and St. Vincent. The lead single, "It's Been Too Long," features vocals from Americana artists Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz. The album includes a cover of "I Don't See Me in Your Eyes Anymore," a 1959 song by rockabilly legend Carl Perkins. Starr had previously recorded two other Perkins songs during his time with The Beatles. The record also contains a new version of "Choose Love," the title track from his 2005 album. Recording sessions for the new album took place in both Los Angeles and Nashville, utilizing a core band of session musicians that Burnett has nicknamed "The Texans". This name is a nod to a skiffle band Ringo played in in Liverpool in the late 1950s. This new album continues a productive period for Starr, who has released a series of EPs in recent years, including "Crooked Boy" (2024), "Rewind Forward" (2023), and "Change The World" (2021). In addition to the new album, Starr has also announced a 12-date spring tour with his All-Starr Band scheduled for May and June 2026. The tour will include stops in California, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
