Natasha Oakley Completes $17M Sydney Mansion Renovation
Social media entrepreneur Natasha Oakley has completed a high-profile renovation of her $17 million mansion in Sydney. The project showcases bold design, contemporary art, and luxury finishes in a photo-rich feature. Meanwhile, the city of Lancaster, Ohio has announced a 2026 Homeowner Rehabilitation Assistance Program offering up to $15,000 in grants for local homeowners to undertake essential repairs and upgrades.
The Bellevue Hill mansion, a 1950s villa, was purchased by Oakley and her husband Theo Chambers, a mortgage broker and son of Chambers Cellars founder Steven Chambers. The couple acquired the Sydney home for $17 million with an initial renovation approval of $1.29 million, which was later reported as a $2.2 million development. The extensive redesign was managed by Weir Phillips Architects and Phoebe Nicol Interior Architecture, with construction beginning in late 2023 and finishing by Christmas 2025. Oakley, who co-founded the successful Monday Swimwear brand, was reportedly hands-on with the project, mirroring her deep involvement in her business ventures. Her personal net worth is estimated to be around $128 million. In contrast, the Lancaster, Ohio homeowner program is funded by the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. It provides assistance for essential repairs covering health, safety, and code violations, such as roofing, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. The assistance is structured as a 5-year forgivable loan, meaning it doesn't require repayment if the homeowner remains in the house for five years post-project. To qualify, homeowners must own and occupy the property, be current on taxes and mortgage payments, and have a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
