Navy Pier's EXPO CHICAGO

Navy Pier’s EXPO CHICAGO art fair (April 9-12) at Festival Hall spotlights galleries and installations. This presents a prime opportunity for upscale catering pitches to cultural events.

EXPO CHICAGO, returning to Navy Pier's Festival Hall from April 9-12, 2026, will host its 13th edition with over 130 galleries from across the US and the globe. This year's event marks the first under the direction of Kate Sierzputowski, who aims to create a more focused and engaging experience with art and curatorial context. Tickets start at $40 for single-day admission. A key feature of EXPO CHICAGO 2026 is an expanded partnership with the Obama Presidential Center, which is scheduled to open in the spring. Dr. Louise Bernard, the Center's Museum Director, is curating two sections, "Embodiment" and "Evolution," showcasing art inspired by the Center's architecture and commissioned artists, plus archival materials. The "Focus" section highlights emerging galleries, curated by Katie A. Pfohl, exploring themes of landscape, migration, and craft. The event also includes collaborations with the Galleries Association of Korea (GAoK), presenting 12 Korean galleries, and galleries from Lagos, Nigeria. "Profile" presents solo booths and projects by established international galleries, curated by Essence Harden. This aligns with EXPO CHICAGO's aim to foster institutional relationships and highlight scholarly artistic endeavors.
