New Brunch Spot Opens in Brookfield

A new brunch restaurant, Waking Daisy, has officially opened at The Corners of Brookfield. Located on West Lord Street, the spot features a menu of scratch-made, locally sourced dishes and a full bar, adding a new dining option to the area.

Waking Daisy is the second venture at The Corners for owners Nate Arkush and Andrew Foster, who also own and operate the successful FreshFin Brookfield location that opened in 2018. This is their first brunch concept, expanding on their portfolio of seven FreshFin locations across Wisconsin and Utah. The 3,050-square-foot restaurant features a "retro-modern atmosphere" with seating for 98 guests inside and an additional 28 on its patio. It is situated on Lord Street, nestled between the owners' other restaurant, FreshFin, and a sweetgreen location. The menu emphasizes comfort food elevated with care, featuring signature dishes like "Daisy cakes" and classic Eggs Benedict alongside seasonal specials. For those in a hurry, the restaurant also provides a grab-and-go section with breakfast sandwiches, handhelds, and other fresh bites. The full bar serves a creative cocktail lineup, including specialty mimosas and classic Bloody Marys. The restaurant officially opened its doors with a soft opening on Friday, July 18, 2025, with a grand opening celebration that followed on Saturday, July 26. Waking Daisy operates seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with plans to introduce select dinner hours in the future.
