Booba Buys $14M Miami Villa

French rapper Booba purchased Miami's most expensive villa at $14 million in South Florida. The acquisition represents one of the biggest real estate moves by a European hip-hop artist in the US market. Booba's investment signals growing international presence of French rap stars in American luxury markets.

This isn't Booba's first major real estate deal in the city. The rapper has been a Miami resident since 2007. In 2016, he purchased a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home on Meridian Avenue for $3.7 million and later sold it in 2022 for a profitable $6.1 million. The recent $14.2 million waterfront mansion was purchased from Serbian tennis star Slobodan Živojinović and his wife, the singer Lepa Brena. The 4,986-square-foot home is located in one of Miami Beach's most exclusive neighborhoods. This marks the property's first sale since it was originally built. Booba, whose real name is Élie Yaffa, has built a significant business empire alongside his music career. His ventures include the record label Tallac Records and the successful Ünkut clothing and jewelry line, which reportedly generates around $9 million annually. His net worth is estimated to be between $14 million and $20 million. The luxury purchase comes as Booba faces serious legal issues in his native France. He is a central figure in a major cyberbullying case, accused of leading an online harassment campaign against talent agent Magali Berdah. The case is considered the largest of its kind in the country and has already resulted in jail sentences for 28 individuals involved in the online mob attack.
