Waterdrop Unveils Whole-House RO System

Water purification company Waterdrop Filter debuted its first-ever whole-house reverse osmosis (RO) system at the recent Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. The launch is part of a new lineup of innovative purification products from the company.

The debut of Waterdrop's MASTER WHS01 whole-house reverse osmosis system at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2026 signals a significant entry into a rapidly growing market. The global home water filtration market was valued at over $20 billion in 2024 and is projected to see continued growth, with some reports estimating a compound annual growth rate of over 10%. This growth is largely driven by increasing consumer concerns about water quality and the presence of contaminants like lead, chlorine, and "forever chemicals" such as PFAS. Reverse osmosis systems, like the new Waterdrop offering, currently command a major share of the water purifier market. The MASTER WHS01 features a 0.0001μm high-precision RO membrane designed to aggressively target heavy metals and fluorides. The system also includes smart monitoring capabilities, aligning with a broader trend in the home appliance market towards smart, integrated technology that allows for real-time tracking and control. The launch took place at KBIS 2026 in Orlando, part of Design & Construction Week, which attracted over 117,000 attendees, showcasing the scale of the platform for new product introductions. The event highlighted a clear industry focus on wellness, personalization, and smart home integration, themes that Waterdrop's new lineup directly addresses. The company's booth reportedly drew significant attention from major retailers like Costco, Sam's Club, and Walmart, who engaged in discussions about future strategic partnerships. In addition to the whole-house RO system, Waterdrop also unveiled other products in its new purification lineup. These include the IM1 Ultimate All-in-One Countertop RO System, which features a 9-stage filtration process and a built-in ice maker, and the WHR01 Whole House Water Softener, designed to prevent scale buildup and extend the life of appliances. While the full specifications and features of the MASTER WHS01 have been introduced, details regarding pricing and widespread retail availability are expected to be announced following its debut at the industry show. Waterdrop's existing under-sink RO systems are priced competitively, and the whole-house system will enter a market with established players like Culligan, Pentair, and iSpring, whose whole-house solutions can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on features and installation requirements.
