Van Life + Dogs: Arches Adventure
A van life couple is exploring Arches National Park with their dog Zeke, who's visited 48 states [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVKXjCzPeTc]! They recommend assessing your dog's temperament before visiting new landscapes.
Before bringing a dog to Arches, remember that the park's sandstone can be scorching hot. Pavement and trails can cause serious burns to a dog's paws, so limit activity during the hottest times of day. Zeke seems well-prepared, but Arches has no water sources. Bring plenty of water for both you and your dog to avoid dehydration while hiking. Many areas of Arches National Park don't allow dogs, including hiking trails, overlooks, and visitor centers. Dogs are only allowed on paved roads, in parking lots, and at established campgrounds.
