Lehigh Returns to March Madness

Lehigh clinched an NCAA Tournament bid, marking its first appearance since 2012.

Lehigh defeated Boston University 74-60 in the Patriot League Championship to secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament. Junior guard and captain Nasir Whitlock led the team with 18 points. The Mountain Hawks will be making their first appearance in the Big Dance since 2012. The game was held at Stabler Arena, filling the arena with 4,323 attendees, the largest crowd for a Patriot League Championship since 2016. Lehigh had a strong showing from beyond the arc in the first half, shooting 57.1% compared to Boston's 11.1%. Hank Alvey was also pivotal, totaling nine rebounds and five assists. Lehigh, as the second seed, maintained a double-digit lead for the final 13 minutes of the game against fourth-seeded Boston University. Lehigh has appeared in six NCAA Division I men's basketball tournaments. Their most memorable appearance was in 2012 when they upset Duke as a 15 seed. Brett Reed coaches the Mountain Hawks. The team's roster includes players such as Andrew Urosevic, Nasir Whitlock, and Joshua Ingram. Lehigh awaits its seeding and opponent for the NCAA Tournament.
