Merrill Dominates 'Top 40 Under 40' Financial Advisor List

*Financial Planning* magazine has recognized 24 Merrill advisors on its annual "Top 40 Brokers Under 40" list. For the seventh consecutive year, Merrill has had more advisors named to the list than any other firm.

- The list ranks advisors under 40 from six firms—Janney Montgomery Scott, JPMorgan, Merrill, Morgan Stanley, Raymond James, and UBS—based on their trailing 12-month production. The data for the rankings is provided by the firms themselves. - The advisors on the 2026 list collectively generate just over $226 million in annual revenue, an increase of nearly 9% from the 2025 cohort's $207.8 million. The average annual production for an advisor on the 2026 list is $5.65 million. - The 40 brokers on the list oversee a combined total of $48.6 billion in client assets, up from $41.5 billion the previous year. - Merrill advisors claimed the top two spots on the list: Jens Pascucci of Seattle, WA, was ranked #1, and Christian Kelly of Upper St. Clair, PA, was #2. In total, 12 of the top 20 advisors on the list were from Merrill. - The top-producing broker on the 2026 list, who has held the #1 position for three consecutive years, single-handedly produces $14.5 million in annual revenue. - Following Merrill's 24 advisors, Morgan Stanley had the second-most with six brokers making the list. - While this list focuses on top producers under 40, the wealth management industry as a whole has a wide gender disparity. However, the 2023 list was topped by a woman, and three of the top five brokers were women.
