Bebe Rexha's Dance Pop Surge

Bebe Rexha's "New Religion" is charting in 9 Apple Music countries and 32 iTunes territories, being hailed as peak dance pop with 73 likes on social posts. The track is being praised for its signature dance-pop sound and gaining momentum across multiple streaming platforms. It's part of the current wave of emotionally charged pop that's resonating with listeners seeking both danceable beats and authentic storytelling.

"New Religion" serves as the third single from Bebe Rexha's forthcoming visual album, "Dirty Blonde," slated for a June 12, 2026 release. This album marks a significant career shift for Rexha, being her first project released independently through Empire Distribution after her departure from Warner Records. The entire 13-track album is a visual project, with a music video accompanying each song, a move Rexha says is about creative freedom and trusting her instincts. The track prominently features and samples the 1995 dance classic "Insomnia" by the legendary English electronic group Faithless. Securing the rights to the iconic record was a process Rexha reportedly fought hard to achieve. The song's writing credits include Rexha alongside Rollo Armstrong, Ayalah Bentovim (Sister Bliss), and Maxwell Fraser (Maxi Jazz) of Faithless, in addition to a team of other songwriters. Rexha has described "New Religion" as her "love letter to music" and a "sanctuary on the dance floor." She revealed that she turned to dance music during a dark and frustrating period of her life, and the creative process for this song was a source of freedom and salvation for her. The rollout for the "Dirty Blonde" album has been unconventional, featuring a "supercut" megamix of the album's tracks produced by Diplo, which served as a cinematic trailer. In a move to directly engage her audience, Rexha and her team also allowed fans to vote on the order of the single releases, turning the tracklist reveal into an interactive experience.
