Huawei Showcases Vision for Intelligent Transportation
Huawei presented its vision for the transportation sector at MWC Barcelona 2026. The vision, "Driving Mobility and Logistics into the Intelligent World," is based on five new solutions.
Huawei's "Driving Mobility and Logistics into the Intelligent World" vision, unveiled at MWC Barcelona 2026, builds upon years of development in AI and connectivity solutions for various transportation sectors. The company has already served over 100 ports, 210 airports, 300 urban rail lines, and 200 logistics enterprises globally. The vision is enabled by five new solutions, including an all-element scheduling agent for ports using chain-of-thought (CoT) technology, which can cut operation planning time from hours to minutes. An intelligent horizontal transportation 2.0 solution supports mixed traffic of manual and intelligent guided vehicles, enabling large-scale scheduling and precise parking. For railways, Huawei is offering a Next-Gen Bearer Network for Operation and Dispatching Solution, providing high reliability, bandwidth, and low latency for operational communication services. In road transportation, the Transportation Operations Coordination Centre solution aims to improve efficiency across traffic monitoring, holiday travel management, and logistics. Huawei also released a big data risk control solution for customs, promising rapid risk response. Huawei's intelligent automotive solution revenue grew by over 474% in 2024, reaching CNY 26,353 million. The company invests approximately US$1 billion annually in R&D related to autonomous driving technologies. Huawei's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) incorporates 5G, AI, IoT, and big data to improve traffic management and road safety.
