OpenAI has added Company Knowledge to ChatGPT Business, a feature that lets the assistant pull answers from a company’s connected apps inside a chat. (help.openai.com) OpenAI says Company Knowledge gives “organization-specific answers” with citations back to original sources, and it works across installed apps plus custom apps built with Model Context Protocol, or MCP. (help.openai.com) For ChatGPT Business customers, apps are enabled by default, but the feature only works if at least one app has File Search capability plus eligible search and fetch actions. Users still have to sign in to each app the first time they use it. (help.openai.com) The feature is currently limited to ChatGPT Web. OpenAI’s help page says it is not supported in the Windows or macOS desktop apps, or on Android and iOS mobile apps. (help.openai.com) The change fits a broader April 2026 expansion of ChatGPT Business from a chat product into a managed workplace platform. On April 22, OpenAI said Workspace Agents were rolling out to Business workspaces with scheduling, Slack support, analytics, and connections to apps including Google Drive, Google Calendar, Slack, and SharePoint. (help.openai.com) OpenAI also updated Business plan details on April 2, 2026, adding a usage-based Codex seat and cutting standard subscription seat prices by $5 per month. Standard ChatGPT seats now include features such as GPTs, Projects, Apps, Company Knowledge, ChatGPT Agent, Deep Research, and Codex. (help.openai.com) A separate OpenAI launch points at the same enterprise playbook in regulated research. GPT-Rosalind, updated in OpenAI’s help center within the last day, is available to eligible United States customers with Enterprise agreements for life sciences research across ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex, and the application programming interface. (help.openai.com) OpenAI says GPT-Rosalind is aimed at early discovery work such as target biology, genomics interpretation, pathway analysis, literature synthesis, and hypothesis generation. The company says it is not available for customer-facing products or external commercial applications. (help.openai.com) Outside research tools, OpenAI is also building ad operations infrastructure. PPC Land reported on April 26 that OpenAI documented a new OAI-AdsBot crawler used to inspect ChatGPT ad landing pages for safety, policy compliance, and relevance. (ppc.land) Taken together, the updates show OpenAI wiring ChatGPT Business and Enterprise into three layers at once: internal company data, workflow automation, and specialized models for tightly controlled use cases.
