Pokémon GO is running a three-hour “Replay: GO Bigger” event on Saturday, April 25, bringing back four Gigantamax bosses at once. (pokemon.com) From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Venusaur, Blastoise, Charizard, and Gengar will appear in Max Battles at designated Power Spots. Players need teams of Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon to challenge them. (pokemon.com) The event bonuses are built around Max Battles: the Max Particle collection cap rises to 1,600, all Power Spots host Gigantamax Battles, Power Spots refresh more often, and players get 8× Max Particles from Power Spots. Up to three Special Trades are also available for the day. (pokemon.com) Pokémon GO’s Max system uses Power Spots as battle sites and Max Particles as the energy to enter and train these giant-form Pokémon. Niantic’s help pages say Power Spots appear and disappear over time, and players normally can collect up to 800 Max Particles a day and hold 1,500 at once. (niantic.helpshift.com 1) (niantic.helpshift.com 2) That makes April 25 a catch-up window for players who missed earlier Gigantamax runs or need more Max resources in one session. Pokémon GO Hub’s event guide describes it as a repeat of the earlier GO Bigger format focused on Kanto Gigantamax raids. (pokemongohub.net) A paid ticket costs US$4.99 and unlocks event-only Timed Research during the same 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local window. The listed rewards are one Max Mushroom, 25,000 experience points, 6,400 Max Particles, plus double experience from Max Battles for ticket holders. (pokemon.com) Niantic is also widening remote play around the event. The daily Remote Raid limit rises from 10 to 20 from April 24 at 5:00 p.m. to April 25 at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, while April 25 also gets 2× Max Particles from exploring and one-quarter adventuring distance to receive Max Particles from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. (pokemon.com) For players planning Saturday, the pitch is simple: show up during the three-hour local window with a prepared Max team and enough stored particles to chain battles. The event is short, local-time based, and centered on four of Pokémon GO’s biggest Kanto raid targets. (pokemon.com)
