Fremont Restaurant Week Kicks Off
Fremont Restaurant Week is now underway, featuring 70 different meal deals across the city. The event is designed to support local restaurants and showcase the diversity of Fremont's culinary scene.
This year marks the fourth annual Fremont Restaurant Week, which will run from March 6th to 15th. The event has grown steadily since its inception, with the number of participating eateries increasing from 40 in its first year to 70 in 2026. The event is a collaboration between the City of Fremont's Economic Development Department, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and Yelp Bay Area. The inaugural Restaurant Week was launched in 2023 to encourage local dining after the pandemic. Following a previous Restaurant Week, a survey of participating restaurants revealed that a majority experienced at least a 25% boost in revenue. The goal is to not only support local businesses but also to showcase the diverse culinary landscape of Fremont, which includes American, Mexican, French, Indian, and various Asian cuisines. Deals offered by restaurants range from prix fixe menus and special combos to the launch of entirely new dishes. For instance, Federico's Grill is offering a three-course dinner for $35, while Billy Roy's Burger Co. has created a new "Grilled Cheese Cattle Smash Burger" specifically for the event. A new feature for the 2026 event is a partnership with DoorDash to introduce an autonomous delivery robot named Dot. This all-electric, compact robot, which is manufactured in Fremont, will have its inaugural delivery at the Restaurant Week kickoff event.
