Microsoft adds AI governance to M365 E7
Microsoft 365 E7 will add Agent 365 AI governance in May, signaling a move to embed AI risk management into enterprise platforms reported.
Microsoft 365 E7, dubbed the "Frontier Suite," will be generally available on May 1st, priced at $99 per user per month. This suite combines Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, the Entra Suite, and the new Agent 365 platform. Agent 365 is a new tool designed to manage and secure AI agents across an enterprise, offering a centralized dashboard for governance, compliance, and oversight. It allows administrators to govern AI usage, ensuring compliance and control. Agent 365 will also be available as a separate add-on for $15 per user per month. Microsoft is also launching Copilot Cowork, developed with Anthropic, to handle multi-step tasks. This feature, designed as an AI project assistant, will be available in the Frontier program at the end of March. Copilot Cowork will be grounded by Work IQ, an intelligence layer that uses organizational data to make AI responses more relevant. E7 is designed for organizations aiming to integrate AI across the entire business, not just in isolated teams. It provides a foundation to run AI at scale, equipping employees with Copilot and AI agents in their daily tools. The suite introduces a human-led, agent-operated system where AI can take action, not just generate content.
