Reuters Events has opened registration for its Future of Insurance USA 2026 conference, a two-day insurance strategy event set for June 25-26 at the Marriott Marquis Chicago. (events.reutersevents.com) The organizer says the 2026 edition is built around more than 500 attendees, 50-plus chief executive and senior speakers, 15-plus carrier case studies and a 12-year event legacy. Reuters Events says 85% of attendees are director level or above. (events.reutersevents.com) Reuters Events describes the meeting as a forum for insurance leaders trying to balance risk, product, technology and customer demands while proving returns on artificial intelligence spending. The event page says carriers are being pushed by rising risk, stretched workforces and questions about bias and return on investment in AI. (events.reutersevents.com) That agenda lands as U.S. insurers face pressure from catastrophe losses, distribution changes and higher customer expectations for digital service. Reuters Events says the conference is aimed at “technology, product, customer and risk leaders” working on one integrated strategy rather than separate operating silos. (events.reutersevents.com) The speaker list already includes Patty Kuderer, Washington state’s insurance commissioner, alongside executives from carriers and specialty insurers. Reuters Events’ speakers page also lists leaders including Ameritas Chief Executive Bob Jurgensmeier, Ascot Chief Underwriting Officer Susan Ghalili and Pacific Life executive Suzanne Grover, vice president of underwriting and new business. (events.reutersevents.com) Kuderer took office on January 15, 2025, after winning Washington’s elected insurance commissioner post, giving the event a current state-regulator voice as carriers debate consumer protection and market access. Her office said in January that her 2026 legislative priorities included consumer protection, wildfire-related home insurance issues and preventive-care access. (ballotpedia.org; insurance.wa.gov) Reuters Events is also selling the conference as a networking market: carrier and broker passes are listed at $1,499, while solution-provider passes are listed at $3,199, with group discounts on both categories. The registration pages say attendees get access to the event networking app before the conference. (events.reutersevents.com; events.reutersevents.com) For now, the announcement is less about a single policy shift than about where insurance executives plan to compare strategies next. Reuters Events is pitching Chicago in late June as the place where carriers test how underwriting, growth and customer value can fit in the same plan. (events.reutersevents.com)
