Volcanic Rock Explored as Carbon Sequestration Tool

The startup Eion is using volcanic rock to permanently sequester CO₂ through a process called enhanced weathering. The company's co-founder, Anastasia Pavlovic, explained that Eion partners with farmers to spread the crushed rock on agricultural land. This method accelerates the natural chemical reactions that lock carbon away in minerals, integrating carbon removal directly with agriculture.
