Jill Scott Hits R&B Radio #1
Jill Scott's single "Pressha" climbed to No. 1 at R&B radio this week, underscoring her sustained influence in the genre. The track's success highlights her continued relevance in contemporary R&B despite being a veteran artist.
"Pressha" is the second single from Jill Scott's sixth studio album, *To Whom This May Concern*, which was released on February 13, 2026. This album marks her first full-length project in over a decade, following 2015's *Woman*. The album is an independent release on her own Blues Babe imprint in partnership with Human Re Sources/The Orchard. The new album features a wide range of collaborators, including rappers J.I.D., Tierra Whack, Ab-Soul, and Too $hort. Production credits for the album include notable names such as DJ Premier, Adam Blackstone, Om'Mas Keith, and Trombone Shorty. Scott co-wrote "Pressha" with Adam Blackstone and Vincent "VT" Tolan. This chart-topping success is a significant return to the airwaves for Scott. Her 2011 single, "So in Love," featuring Anthony Hamilton, from the album *The Light of the Sun*, previously tied a record for spending 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Urban Adult Contemporary chart. That album was her first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Scott recently released a music video for "Pressha," which includes cameo appearances from actors Tasha Smith, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Tyler Lepley. Beyond her musical endeavors, Scott has also maintained an active acting career, with roles in films like *Get on Up* and television shows such as *Black Lightning*.
