Horton was last seen on March 3, 2026, wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts, and he may have been wearing a black hat. He is 23 years old, white, with brown hair and eyes, stands 5'11" and weighs 200 pounds. The missing person alert was issued by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, as Horton is missing from Columbia, MO. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office at 573-875-1111. Recent storms have caused hazardous conditions on the Appalachian Trail in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. Hikers are urged to postpone trips through affected sections until cleanup is complete. Downed trees and unstable footing are among the dangers.
