Hikers Log 17-Mile Multi-Waterfall Adventure

One hiker shared details of three tough hikes totaling 17 miles, including Native American Falls, Alum Cove, Twin Nob Hills, and a bushwhack to Pam's Grotto and Rat Pack Falls. Another adventurer completed an 18-mile mountain run in Wales for Ultra-Trail Snowdonia training, sharing Strava stats and photos that garnered 32 likes.

- The Alum Cove hike features a massive 130-foot-long natural sandstone arch, the remnant of a former cave, which is accessible via a 1.1-mile loop trail in the Ozark National Forest. - Native American Falls is a 41-foot cascading waterfall located just off Arkansas Highway 7. The hike to the top of the falls is a little over a mile, but reaching the base requires a more challenging descent down a steep canyon. - Pam's Grotto is a 37-foot waterfall tucked away at the end of a short but steep half-mile trail that follows a bluff line popular with rock climbers. - Despite its name, Rat Pack Falls is a scenic 24-foot waterfall accessible via a roughly quarter-mile bushwhack up a creek bed from the Haw Creek Falls Campground. - The Ultra-Trail Snowdonia (UTS) is a UTMB World Series event that attracts nearly 3,000 runners from over 60 countries to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in Wales. - The event features several race distances, with the 100-mile course including over 31,100 feet of elevation gain over technical mountain terrain, described as "Beautiful beyond belief. Savage beyond reason." The 100K option involves roughly 6,500 meters of elevation gain.
