Craft Contemporary’s CLAY LA opens Friday, April 24, with a three-day ceramic market and fundraiser in the museum’s courtyard on Wilshire Boulevard. (craftcontemporary.org) The Los Angeles event runs through Sunday, April 26, and Craft Contemporary calls 2026 its ninth edition. Preview Night is set for Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with $20 general admission and $15 member tickets. (craftcontemporary.org) The public market continues Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with entry included in the museum’s $9 admission, then returns Sunday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a pay-what-you-wish basis. (craftcontemporary.org) Craft Contemporary says CLAY LA brings together emerging and established ceramic artists from across Los Angeles, and this year’s vendor list includes Angel Prudencio, Chunmei Ceramics, FHAR Studio, Greg Lowe Arts, People’s Pottery Project, Sergio Noe Studio, Tierra del Sol, and Yunting Ceramics. (craftcontemporary.org) The event doubles as a museum fundraiser: Craft Contemporary says proceeds support its mission, ceramics programming, workshops, sales, and exhibitions. The museum has tied this year’s market to its upcoming fourth clay biennial, “tierra.” (craftcontemporary.org) PBS SoCal included CLAY LA in its April 20–26 arts calendar and described the event as a chance to meet local makers from across Los Angeles. The listing says the Friday night program pairs live music with the outdoor marketplace. (pbssocal.org) Craft Contemporary has also scheduled free drop-in air-dry clay activities from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the weekend market, and the museum says the material is being donated by Laguna Clay & Glaze Co. (craftcontemporary.org) An opportunity drawing will feature selected works from participating artists. Preview Night ticket holders get one drawing ticket with admission, and additional entries will be sold on-site for $5 each, with winners contacted on April 29. (craftcontemporary.org) Discover Los Angeles says food and drinks will be sold by Seedy and Wawa Coffee Stand on Saturday and Sunday. The market opens at 5814 Wilshire Blvd., a short stretch west of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art campus. (discoverlosangeles.com)
