DEWALT Releases Wearable Jobsite Speaker
DEWALT has released a new wearable speaker designed for use on loud workdays. The device allows users to listen to audio privately without blocking out ambient sound, aiming to improve situational awareness and comfort on job sites.
- The recently released version of the DEWALT Jobsite Pro Wearable Speaker features key updates, including a USB-C charging port for consistency with modern charging standards and a non-magnetic body to prevent the collection of metal dust and shavings. - This speaker is engineered for loud environments by playing audio close to the user's ears without blocking them, unlike in-ear headphones that can limit situational awareness of job site hazards. - It carries an IP56 rating, which means it is protected from dust ingress and can withstand powerful water jets, making it suitable for use in dirty and damp conditions. - The device weighs under two ounces and includes a built-in clip for attachment to clothing, along with oversized buttons designed to be easily used with gloved hands. - On a full charge, the speaker offers up to 10 hours of continuous playtime, which is comparable to other wearable speakers in its class. - While DEWALT offers a range of larger jobsite audio solutions, this wearable speaker competes more directly with other clip-on devices designed for personal use, such as the Noxgear 39g and the Klein Tools AEPWS1. - In comparison to some competitors, the DEWALT speaker has a slightly lower wattage output and a shorter claimed battery life than models like the Noxgear 39g, which boasts up to 15 hours of playtime.
