The furniture and home goods industry is undergoing significant consolidation. Havenly Brands has acquired the design platform TheXpert to expand its service offerings. Meanwhile, Somnigroup International reported a 54.7% year-over-year jump in net sales for Q4, reaching $1.87 billion, following its acquisition of a major mattress firm.

- The major mattress firm acquired by Somnigroup International was Mattress Firm; the deal was completed on February 5, 2025. - Shortly after the acquisition, the parent company changed its name from Tempur Sealy International to Somnigroup International on February 18, 2025, to reflect its new structure. - Beyond the sales jump, Somnigroup’s Q4 net income increased 95.8% to $140.8 million, and the company is targeting an adjusted EPS of approximately $5.15 by 2028. - Havenly's acquisition of TheXpert was an all-equity transaction for which specific financial terms were not disclosed. - The deal combines Havenly's consumer-focused business with TheXpert's high-end, trade-oriented design marketplace, which launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. - As part of the acquisition, TheXpert's CEO, Lee Anne Blake, will join Havenly as its new chief commercial officer. - This marks the fifth brand acquisition by Havenly since 2022, with a portfolio that also includes Interior Define, The Citizenry, St. Frank, and Burrow. - TheXpert will continue to operate as a standalone brand but will now have access to Havenly's technology platform, including its AI-powered product discovery tools.
