Another major event is the Festa Italiana, the city's only Italian street fair, which is scheduled for June 6 and 7 in North Beach. San Francisco has a rich comedy history, and its marquee comedy event, SF Sketchfest, is set to feature more than 500 performers in over 200 shows in early 2026. This demonstrates a strong local appetite for comedic performances. The emphasis on sustainability follows a growing trend in the food industry to address waste and environmental impact. Globally, about one-third of all food produced is lost or wasted in the supply chain.
