50 Cent Disses T.I. in Power Theme

50 Cent dropped the theme song for his upcoming series *Power: Origins* — and it's packed with pointed disses aimed at T.I. The track features Leon Thomas and marks 50's first musical release since their beef reignited last month. Hip-hop community is already dissecting the lyrics as a direct response to T.I.'s recent provocations.

The long-simmering tension between the two rappers dates back to the late 2000s and early 2010s amidst T.I.'s legal troubles. The feud was recently reignited in February 2026 after T.I. claimed on the "Nightcap" podcast that 50 Cent was avoiding a long-proposed Verzuz battle. This prompted 50 Cent to respond on social media, telling T.I. to "Keep my name out ya mouth." This latest clash quickly escalated beyond music, with 50 Cent posting unflattering photos of T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, and their son, King Harris. In response, King Harris released his own diss tracks and wore a t-shirt featuring a picture of 50 Cent's deceased mother. T.I. later stated that while he doesn't enjoy his son's involvement, his primary role was to defend his family. In the theme song for *Power: Origins*, titled "No One Told Us What We're Here For," 50 Cent raps, "I'm back on my dope boy grammar, Your daddy made your mama eat every box in Atlanta." These lyrics are widely interpreted as a direct shot at T.I. and Tiny, referencing past sexual assault allegations against the couple, which they have denied. Prior to the song's release, the feud had been largely one-sided on wax, with T.I. releasing four diss tracks in five days. 50 Cent, known for his social media trolling, had largely stuck to memes and online jabs. In response to the *Power* theme, T.I. quickly released another track titled "Trauma Bond" and signaled he was ready to exchange diss tracks or dueling documentaries. The song serves as the intro for *Power: Origins*, the fourth spinoff in the successful *Power* franchise co-created by 50 Cent. The prequel series will explore the early lives of popular characters James "Ghost" St. Patrick and Tommy Egan. Starz has greenlit a super-sized first season of 18 episodes, which is currently filming and expected to premiere in 2026.
