New Balance Launches Ellipse Runner

New Balance has entered the spring running market with its new Ellipse shoe. The company's launch campaign, which urges runners to “lose track of time,” positions the shoe as a technical and stylish option, available in ‘Deep End & Glint Blue’ colorways.

The New Balance Ellipse is set for a global launch on March 5, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $140 USD. This new addition to the brand's running lineup is aimed at a wide range of runners, from beginners to experienced athletes seeking a comfortable option for recovery miles. At the core of the Ellipse is New Balance's Fresh Foam X cushioning, which has been updated to provide a bouncier feel underfoot. The shoe features a stack height of 37.8mm in the heel and 29.9mm in the forefoot, resulting in an 8mm drop. A men's size 9.5 weighs in at approximately 9.6 ounces (274g). The design incorporates a rockered profile to promote a smoother transition from heel to toe, aiming to make daily runs feel more effortless. The upper is constructed from a breathable engineered mesh with reflective details for visibility. New Balance has enlisted a diverse group of ambassadors to promote the Ellipse, including Olympic sprinter Gabby Thomas, middle-distance runner Parker Valby, and rapper Action Bronson. This selection highlights the shoe's positioning as a versatile option for various types of athletes and everyday runners.
