Broadway Previews Begin
Previews begin today at the August Wilson Theatre, kicking off a new Broadway season of musicals and revivals.
The August Wilson Theatre is set to host the revival of "The Piano Lesson," starring Samuel L. Jackson, Danielle Brooks, and John David Washington. This marks Washington's Broadway debut. "The Piano Lesson" is the fourth play in August Wilson's ten-part "Pittsburgh Cycle," which chronicles the African American experience throughout the 20th century. The play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1990. Previews officially begin today, with the opening night scheduled for April 1, 2026. This production is directed by LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Samuel L. Jackson’s wife.
