Pandora Diner Expands to Camden
The well-loved Pandora Diner is opening a new location in Camden County, NJ, taking over a former diner spot on Route 73. The expansion brings fresh energy to South Jersey's dining scene with a focus on classic comfort food and family-friendly service.
The new Pandora Diner is taking over a space with a troubled past; the former Voorhees Diner shut down abruptly in the summer of 2024. That closure followed a series of challenges, including lawsuits from former employees over unpaid wages and harassment just a few years prior. This expansion marks the fifth location for the Pandora Diner, a family-owned chain with established restaurants in Cinnaminson, Hainesport, Springfield, and Williamstown. The business is operated by the Pamuk family, with son Saban Pamuk leading the expansion efforts. The family has a long history in the business, with the father starting in 1978. Pandora has built a strong reputation in South Jersey, with its Springfield location being voted Burlington County's best diner in 2019. The chain is known for its extensive menu, classic diner atmosphere, and friendly service. The arrival of Pandora is a welcome sign for the local dining landscape, which has seen a number of landmark diners close in recent years. Establishments like the Red Lion Diner, the Marlton Diner, and the Penn Queen Diner have all shut their doors, making Pandora's growth a notable exception.
