Cycore Launches New AI Governance and Compliance Services

Cybersecurity firm Cycore has announced an expansion of its AI governance service offerings. The company's services are designed to support AI-first frameworks including ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, and the EU AI Act. The launch addresses the growing need for compliance and security solutions as AI adoption accelerates in regulated industries like healthcare.

- The global AI in radiology market was valued at USD 1.41 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach approximately USD 11.84 billion by 2036, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.5%. North America currently holds the largest market share. - ISO/IEC 42001, published in December 2023, is the first international standard for AI management systems. It provides a framework for organizations to manage AI risks and responsibilities, focusing on principles like fairness, transparency, and accountability. - The EU's AI Act, which entered into force in August 2024, is the first comprehensive legal framework for AI and classifies AI-driven medical imaging and diagnostic systems as high-risk. This designation requires them to adhere to stringent compliance requirements beyond existing medical device regulations. - The U.S. FDA is rapidly approving AI-enabled medical devices, with the total number reaching 882 by May 2024 and surpassing 1,300 by late 2025. Radiology applications consistently account for the vast majority—nearly 80%—of these approvals. - The NIST AI Risk Management Framework (RMF), released in January 2023, is a voluntary guide for organizations to manage risks associated with AI. It provides a flexible, structured approach to foster responsible and trustworthy AI development and use. - A persistent shortage of radiologists, coupled with increasing imaging volumes, is a primary driver for AI adoption in the field. AI tools are being developed and implemented to increase efficiency in reading various scan types, with some studies showing productivity gains as high as 40%. - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) increased the reimbursement for coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) by 104% for 2025, reclassifying it to a higher payment level. However, the overall Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) saw a reduction, affecting payments for many other imaging services.
