Nvidia's DLSS 4.5 at GDC 2026
Nvidia's DLSS 4.5 debuts at GDC 2026 with neural rendering and AI-driven graphics upgrades [https://www.techspot.com/news/111632-nvidia-gdc-2026-roundup-more-path-traced-games.html], plus DLSS 6x multi-frame generation beta on March 31st [https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/nvidia-is-leveling-up-game-visuals-with-the-new-dlss-4-5-update/]. What games will support DLSS 4.5 first?
DLSS 4.5 will be integrated into 20 games, including *007 First Light*, *CONTROL Resonant*, and *Tides of Annihilation*. *007 First Light* is slated to launch with path tracing and DLSS 4.5 on May 27th. *CONTROL Resonant* will also launch with both DLSS 4.5 and path tracing sometime this year. The update introduces Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which adjusts the number of AI-generated frames to maintain a target frame rate. It can generate up to five AI-created frames for every rendered frame on RTX 50 series GPUs. This feature, along with 6x Multi Frame Generation, will be available as an opt-in beta in the NVIDIA app starting March 31st for RTX 50 series owners. DLSS 4.5 also includes a second-generation transformer model for improved super-resolution. This model uses five times the processing power of the original and is trained on a larger dataset. It enhances image quality, reduces ghosting, and improves detail reconstruction, even in performance-intensive ray-traced titles.
