LA Gets Two Buzzworthy New Eateries
The LA food scene has two new buzzworthy spots. Eater LA is giving rave reviews to Junia Café in Gardena for its elevated coffee and minimalist design, while Momota Ramen House has opened near 3rd and La Cienega with a sleek space and visually-driven ramen bowls.
Junia Café is a neighborhood coffee shop in Gardena that focuses on specialty coffees from a rotating selection of roasters. Their menu features unique specialty drinks such as the Golden Orange Latte, Orange Espresso Tonic, and a shaken Milky Pear Oolong. The café also offers a variety of thoughtfully curated teas, matcha, and pastries. Momota Ramen House offers a diverse menu that includes signature dishes like Spicy Miso Ramen and a rich Black Ramen with roasted black garlic oil. The restaurant aims for a modern yet cozy atmosphere, with some locations featuring anime playing on screens. One customer noted that the owner creates original recipes, putting a unique twist on each dish. Beyond traditional ramen, Momota's menu includes a variety of appetizers like Crispy Rice and Fried Squid Legs. They also serve rice bowls, including a Japanese Curry option, and a selection of sushi. For those with dietary preferences, a Vegan Miso Ramen is available, sometimes featuring spinach or kale noodles.
