Rihanna's Beverly Hills Home Struck by Gunfire

Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion was struck by gunfire while she was inside; a 30-year-old woman was arrested. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz of Orlando, Florida, allegedly fired multiple rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. She was taken into custody about eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria and is being held on $10.225 million bail for attempted murder. Police responded to the shooting at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of shots fired in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood. Seven assault rifle casings were found at the scene. Ortiz has a history of arrests in Florida, including suspicion of careless driving in 2021, domestic violence, and battery in 2023. Social media posts reviewed by police show Ortiz rapping, dancing, and calling out celebrities, including a February 17th post alleging Rihanna had AIDS. Rihanna purchased the 7,600-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion in 2020 for $13.8 million. The home, originally built in 1938, features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, and a hot tub. In 2018, a man broke into Rihanna's Hollywood Hills home and spent 12 hours inside before being discovered. He pleaded no contest to stalking and was sentenced to probation. While Beverly Hills is generally considered safe, its crime rate is higher than the national average. Property crime is particularly high, with a 1 in 23 chance of becoming a victim. Rihanna was reportedly home at the time of the shooting, along with three other people, though it's unconfirmed if her partner A$AP Rocky and their three children were present. Following the incident, Rihanna was seen leaving Los Angeles with her family.
