Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal Reach FA Cup Quarterfinals

The FA Cup quarterfinal lineup is complete with Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal all advancing after challenging matches. City's victory was powered by a brace from Marmoush, while Arsenal's win featured standout performances from emerging stars Max Dowman and Marli Salmon, with manager Mikel Arteta publicly praising these young players for their composure and impact.

The draw for the FA Cup quarterfinals will see Manchester City host Fulham, while Arsenal will face a tough home tie against fellow Premier League contenders Liverpool. Chelsea has been drawn at home against the lowest-ranked team remaining in the competition, Port Vale. These matches are scheduled to be played around the weekend of April 4th. Arsenal holds the record for the most FA Cup victories, having lifted the prestigious trophy 14 times, with their last win in 2020. Chelsea is not far behind in terms of historical success, with eight FA Cup titles to their name, their most recent triumph coming in 2018. Manchester City has won the competition seven times, with their last victory being part of their historic treble-winning season in 2023. Manchester City's Omar Marmoush has been in impressive form, with his two goals against Newcastle in the fifth round adding to his season tally. The Egyptian forward has scored six goals and provided two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions for City this season. Arsenal's victory over Mansfield Town saw the emergence of 16-year-old Max Dowman, who became the club's youngest-ever player in the FA Cup. Dowman has had a remarkable rise through Arsenal's youth ranks, becoming the youngest goal-scorer in UEFA Youth League history at 14 and making his Premier League 2 debut at the same age. He has already trained with the first team and made his senior debut in a pre-season friendly at 15. Alongside Dowman, 16-year-old defender Marli Salmon also started for Arsenal in the fifth round. Salmon, who has been with the club's academy, made his senior first-team debut earlier in the season as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League match. He has also represented England at the U17 level, participating in the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
