Bad Bunny Dominates for 35 Weeks

Bad Bunny's "Dtmf" holds the #1 spot for a remarkable 35th week on World Singles Top 40, while Taylor Swift's "The Fate Of Ophelia" continues at #2. HUNTRX's "Golden" featuring Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami moves up to #3, maintaining momentum from earlier this year.

Bad Bunny's chart domination is not new; his 2020 collaboration "Dakiti" with Jhay Cortez spent 27 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. The artist has landed over 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 throughout his career. A 35-week reign is exceptionally rare in modern music. For comparison, the longest unbroken run at number one on the official UK singles chart is 16 weeks, a record held by Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You." Taylor Swift's staying power at #2 is fueled by the massive success of her 11th studio album, "The Tortured Poets Department." The album broke streaming records and became her 14th chart-topper, tying her with Jay-Z for the second-most No. 1 albums ever. The artists behind the #3 song, HUNTRX, are a fictional K-pop girl group from the 2025 animated Netflix film "K-Pop Demon Hunters." The vocals for the group are provided by real-life artists Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami. Their track "Golden" has become a breakout success from the film's soundtrack, winning a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award for Best Original Song. It also won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media, the first K-pop song to win a Grammy.
