The Google Home app allows customization of lock behavior, such as setting auto-lock duration and enabling privacy mode. The Nest x Yale Lock connects to the internet through Nest Connect. Previously, Nest Guard could also act as a bridge, but this is no longer supported. If the lock loses its Wi-Fi connection, it can still be operated using the keypad. The smart lock market is experiencing rapid growth, with projections estimating a value of $17.10 billion by 2034. This growth is driven by increasing urbanization, smart home adoption, and demand for enhanced security.
