NYC's Best New Restaurants March 2026

Grub Street just profiled NYC's best new restaurants for March 2026, covering everything from inventive fusion concepts to chef-driven neighborhood gems. The curated guide focuses on innovation and breadth across the city's dining landscape. New York continues setting the pace for must-try restaurant openings.

Midtown's new massive, bi-level Japanese spot, Double Knot, is an import from Philadelphia restaurateur Michael Schulson. Located across from Radio City Music Hall, the restaurant features an upstairs sushi and cocktail bar with a robatayaki grill and a second bar in The Amber Room below. In Park Slope, Andamiro is a new Korean restaurant from chef Suho Lee, who previously spent time at Eleven Madison Park and The Standard East Village. The menu centers on gukbap, a traditional Korean dish of rice in hot soup, with options like beef in a rich doenjang sauce, alongside small plates like shiitake skewers and tteok galbi (grilled short-rib patties). Confidant, from Roberta's alums Brendan Kelley and Dan Grossman, has relocated from Industry City to a cozier home on Atlantic Avenue, in the space formerly occupied by Colonie. The restaurant focuses on seasonal dishes with inventive flavors, such as a signature prawn pot pie and trout mousse on homemade sourdough. The team also plans to open a bakery and wine bar next door called Lou and Bev's. Flatiron's high-end dessert gallery, Lysée, comes from pastry chef Eunji Lee, formerly of the three-Michelin-starred Jungsik. Lee, who trained in France, is launching "The Journey," a weekly 10-course dessert tasting menu for only 16 guests per night. Her creations, like the signature "Corn" mousse cake, are inspired by her Korean heritage, French training, and New York. For late-night dining, Guisados Maria in Bushwick stays open until 4 a.m. The casual spot features daily specials from steam trays, such as pork chops in chipotle sauce and chicken mole, served on handmade tortillas with rice.
